Terms & Conditions Service Agreement

Last Updated: July 20, 2026

Welcome to Singleton Assembly, LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By requesting a quote, booking our services, or utilizing our website, you ("Customer", "you", or "your") agree to be legally bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. SCOPE OF SERVICES (ASSEMBLY-AS-A-SERVICE)

The Company operates a professional "assembly-as-a-service" platform connecting customers with skilled assembly technicians. Our services are strictly limited to the on-site unboxing, building, assembly, and setup of products, furniture, and equipment already present at the Customer's location. The exact flat-rate pricing and service scope will be detailed in your online booking confirmation or digital invoice.

2. EXCLUSION OF TRANSIT & DELIVERY SERVICES

The Company does not provide freight, transport, store pickup, or delivery services. It is the Customer's sole responsibility to ensure that all items to be assembled have been delivered to, and are located within, the designated assembly property prior to the technician's arrival.

3. PACKAGING & MANUFACTURER DEFECT POLICY

To ensure an efficient assembly process and protect the integrity of your product's factory warranty:

  • Sealed Boxes Required: All items should ideally remain sealed in their original manufacturer packaging until our technicians officially begin the assembly process.

  • Manufacturer Defect Policy: The Company is not responsible for missing components, hardware, or pre-existing manufacturer defects hidden inside the packaging. If a build must be paused due to missing parts or factory defects, we will pause the job so you can contact the manufacturer. A standard $30.00 Trip Rate will apply to cover our driver's fuel and time on the road, and we will happily return to finish your build once your replacement parts arrive.

4. WORKSPACE READY CONDITIONS & ANTI-TIP SAFETY

For services performed on the Customer’s premises:

  • Adult Presence: A responsible adult aged 18 or older must be present at all times during the service appointment.

  • Work Area Readiness: To ensure a safe build and protect your home, the Customer agrees to clear an open workspace in the room where the product is intended to be built before the technician arrives. Technicians do not move existing household furniture or electronics. If a space cannot be cleared upon arrival, we will gladly reschedule your appointment to a more convenient time.

  • Pre-Existing Damage Waiver: The Customer agrees to inspect the assembly space and item boxes with the technician prior to unboxing. The Company assumes zero liability for any pre-existing scratches, gouges, or structural damage to the Customer's flooring or walls.

  • Anti-Tip Anchoring Safety Clause: In strict accordance with manufacturer safety guidelines, certain furniture items (such as dressers, wardrobes, and bookcases) require mandatory wall-anchoring to prevent tipping. If the Customer explicitly requests that an item not be anchored to the wall, or refuses to allow drilling into their walls, the Customer assumes 100% of the liability for any future tip-over accidents, injuries, or property damage, completely releasing the Company and its network technicians from all legal claims.

5. FLAT-RATE PRICING, UPFRONT PAYMENTS, & CANCELLATIONS
  • Quotes: All flat-rate quotes are generated based on the information provided by the Customer (e.g., photos of the box, manufacturer web links, or model numbers). We reserve the right to adjust final pricing if the item description or quantity changes significantly upon arrival.

  • Upfront Payment Policy: To secure your time slot on our platform calendar, full flat-rate payment or a specified deposit is required at the time of online booking. No technician will be dispatched to your location until payment is cleared through our secure Wix portal.

  • Flexible Rescheduling: We understand that plans change! You can reschedule or cancel your appointment at any time up to 24 hours before your slot for a full refund or exchange. If you need to reschedule inside the 24-hour window, or if our technician cannot gain access to the property during your scheduled time, a $40.00 Trip Rate will be applied to cover our driver's fuel and time, and the remainder of your balance will be fully credited toward your rescheduled slot.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
  • The Company is liable only for direct property damages caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct during the actual assembly process.

  • The Company is not liable for structural damage to your property resulting from pre-existing wall/floor defects, nor for the structural integrity of products that possess inherent engineering flaws.

7. TEXT MESSAGE PROGRAM
  • By enrolling in Singleton Assembly text messages, you agree to receive SMS notifications and updates. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for assistance

8. GOVERNING LAW
  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal actions must be filed in the jurisdiction of Charles County, Maryland.
